Puring-puri ng Comedy Box-Office King na si Vic Sotto ang bagong leading lady niyang si Paula Taylor sa latest movie niya under OctoArts Films, M-Zet TV at APT Entertainment, Love OnLine (LOL).
Si Paula ay isang sikat na international VJ, model, at TV-movie actress mula sa Thailand. Madalas siyang mapanood ngayon sa local TV commercials, gaya ng Myra-E. Naging contestant din siya sa Amazing Race Asia Season 2, kung saan nakalaban niya sina Marc Nelson at Rovilson Fernandez ng Pilipinas.
"Definitely she's more than what I really expected. She is a very pleasant surprise. Akala ko model-model lang siya, pretty-pretty na ganun lang. Pero she's a lot more than that. She's a good actress. As a friend, nakita ko kung paano siya makisama sa mga Pilipino, kahit sino, kahit yung mga crew. She's very nice," sabi ni Vic nang ma-interview siya ng PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) sa presscon ng Love OnLine (LOL) kahapon, July 21, sa Moomba Restaurant sa Quezon City.
Ano pa ang ibang qualities na nagustuhan niya kay Paula bilang leading lady?
"She's fun to work with. Magaan siyang katrabaho. Mabait. She likes to eat Filipino food a lot. She likes sisig and sinigang," paglalarawan ng TV host-comedian.
Personal choice ba niya si Paula para maging leading lady?
"It was a group choice, kasama yung aking mga co-producers [Orly Ilacad of OctoArts Films and Tony Tuviera of APT Films]. During our pre-production meeting, lumabas yung pangalan ni Paula. When they told me about it, hindi naman ako nagdalawang-isip kasi bagay na bagay siya dun sa role na foreigner na pumunta rito sa Manila. Atsaka familiar naman ang mga Filipino sa face ni Paula sa TV lalo na sa mga commercials. I also found out that she has a comedy soap back in Thailand and she's doing movies also. So, I said yes. I approved that we get her as part of the movie," lahad ni Vic.
JEALOUSY IS ALIEN TO PIA. Nagkita na ba si Paula at ang girlfriend ni Vic na si Pia Guanio?
"Hindi pa," sagot ni Bossing.
Aprrove ba kay Pia ang pagkuha niya kay Paula as leading lady?
"Lahat naman ng trabaho ko alam ni Pia. From conceptualizing hanggang sa shooting, hanggang sa matapos. Kadalasan nga, nagsa-suggest pa siya, e. When she found out that we will get Paula, she was excited. Sabi niya, 'Okay 'yan, fresh face.'"
Sinagot din ni Vic ang intriga na pinagseselosan daw ni Pia si Paula.
"Hindi totoo 'yan. She doesn't get jealous. She knows about my work, my job. And there's nothing to be jealous about. She's very secure and there's nothing to be insecure about. And tina-trust niya naman ako. Ako naman, I won't do anything para masira yung trust na yun.
So, hindi totoong nagkaroon sila ng tampuhan ni Pia dahil kay Paula?
"Saan ba nanggaling 'yan? Ngayon ko lang narinig 'yan, e. I'm not the type of producer and actor na who would resort sa mga ganung gimik na link-link. Si Pia naman, she has nothing to be jealous about. She's not the type who would get jealous sa leading lady ko."
