Cinemanila 2009 will screen 80 films from 30 countries at Market! Market! in Taguig. Founding festival director Tikoy Aguiluz encourages moviegoers to "celebrate and enjoy what world cinema has to offer." The 11th edition of Cinemanila will run until October 25.

CINEMANILA FOR DISASTER VICTIMS.

Sabi ni Direk Tikoy, "We have a lot to be thankful for.  This marks the beginning of a new decade, wherein our filmmakers and Philippine cinema has arrived..."

Filipino filmmakers have amazed the world audiences with our stories.  We hope the local audiences will also embrace what our filmmakers have to offer...."

A thanksgiving for the Filipino filmmakers who continue to tell their stories and mesmerized world audiences...."

"There might be similar problems, but we hope to overcome them," sabi ni Direk Tikoy.  "Kasi, kung meron mang casualties, siguro out of 80 [films], isa o dalawa.  Ang mahalaga naman is the overall program is really excellent."

"Celebrate and enjoy what world cinema has to offer," pagwawakas ni Direk Tikoy Aguiluz.
