Robin Padilla was in Iran when typhoons Ondoy and Pepeng hit the country. He was saddened by the plight of the victims, but he stressed that we all have a bigger problem. In an interview with the entertainment media and press people last night, October 22, he said: "Bagamat malungkot ang nangyari, nakikita mo naman ang pagkakaisa ng mga Pilipino para makabangon.

Robin Padilla had the mall goers of SM Mall of Asia screaming and cheering for him last night, October 22, the minute he appeared on stage.

But he wasn't there as an action star. For about 10 minutes, Robin had his shining moment as a ramp model.

The guy who was dubbed "Bad Boy of Philippine Cinema" in the '90s walked in a so-familiar swaggering way, posed for the cameras, and even showed his abs. He looked perfectly at ease and confident while strutting in Lee denims.

But after the Make History fashion show, he admitted he was very nervous. "Halos magiba na yung likod dun. Kung alam lang n'yo nangyari sa akin dun sa likod," the 41-year-old action star said.

If not for the idea that he would walk for a cause, he wouldn't have agreed to join the fashion show.

For a first-timer, he did well, gauging from the response of the crowd and the awed expression on the faces of the guests who witnessed his modeling stint.

But before people would get the idea that he's shifting from acting to modeling, Robin said, "Medyo ho talagang hindi ko linya ito.

The guy really deserved the applause and cheers because he took the assignment seriously and prepared for it.

First, he spend time watching fashion shows on TV. "Nanood po akong nanood ng Fashion Channel. Yun po ang aking ginawa. Medyo talagang ako'y nahirapan," he related.

Second, he heeded the advice of his fashionista "sister," BB Gandanghari.

Robin said, "Magkasama kami kahapon.

SPEAKING OF BB... Robin and BB are currently cooking up a film project, which will be produced by Robin.
