During the interview, Fil-Am Tara Macken (right) teased her best friend Emily Kaiho (left) about Filipino men. Emily, who was raised in Japan, said she loves Filipino men's eyes.

"Filipinos have big eyes, little puppy eyes. Really cute, I think," she said.

"They have a certain stereotype. It's like, 'Okay, you're Asian, so you have to be this way. Or you have to be Chinese. You have to look like Chinese.' There's a certain way they look at Asian people," she said.

But in Tara's case, Filipino blood proved to be more of an advantage.

"Filipinos look like any nationality on the planet. When I go out with my Filipino friends, Americans go like, 'Okay, you're Japanese, you're Chinese... you're European-Mexican," she said.

Even so, Tara admitted that her double identity also caused hardship.

"Being like a half-Filipino person in the States, it's really hard because nobody really knows what you are. You're not really Asian, You're not really American. They have no idea of what a Filipino looks like," she said.

If that's the case, is she willing to settle in the Philippines for good to continue her acting career?

"Hey, it's work. So, yeah," Tara said.

Emily agreed with her training partner turned soulmate. "Not definitely, but if it comes along," she said.
