Ang young actress na si Anne Curtis ang naging partner ni Angel Locsin nang maisipan ng huli na buuin ang Shop and Share auction na makikita sa eBay.ph. Sinimulan nila ito noong halos kasagsagan pa ng bagyong Ondoy at Pepeng. Ngayon, ika-third batch na raw itong pag-release nila ng mga items in cooperation with the Philippine National Red Cross. Isa sa mga items ay galing kay Manny Pacquiao.
Kagabi, sa launching ng Shop and Share sa 4th floor ng Gateway Mall, naikuwento ni Anne kung paano nagsimula ang proyektong ito.
"Actually, for a while kasi, hindi namin plano to go super-multimedia about it. Parang okey na kami by word ng Twitter namin or mga Facebook, mga ganyan. Makapag-guest kami kung saan-saan basta ma-announce lang. Sobrang okey na kami ro'n.
"And then, yung eBay nilapitan namin kasi medyo nahirapan na kami sa listing, kasi napaka-specific nila. Tapos yun, na-approach naman namin, may letter ng Red Cross, so tumulong pa sila."
ANGEL'S INSPIRED IDEA. It was really Angel who thought of Shop and Share first.
"Si Angel ang tumawag sa akin. Tapos, tinanong niya ako kung gusto ko raw ba yung mga auction-auction ng bags. Siyempre, gusto ko 'yan, forte ko 'yan, e," natatawang sabi ni Anne. "Tapos yun na, after, super nag-brainstorming na kami kila Ate Kris [Aquino] kung paano namin gagawin.
"Then, yun nga, online ang napagdesisyunan namin. Si Ate Kris ang nag-suggest na online bidding na lang."
Masayang-masaya sila sa naging turnout ng auction.
"It really, really worked out in a way na parang people not only give their help, meron pa silang gamit na in good condition pa."
Ayon kay Anne, $15,000 na ang inaabot ng sales nila at may mga pending items pa na isusubasta. Target daw sana nilang kitain through their fundraising campaign ay one million pesos.
Itutuloy-tuloy na ba nila ang auction ng mga celebrity items sa eBay?
"Well, only until we have certain items siguro. Pero, after nun, wala na. Basta for the love of na lang... sana next year maulit. Sana not because [of] another typhoon but merely because makatulong na lang."
Nakapag-bond nang husto ang dalawang pasimuno ng fundraising activity dahil inaabot minsan ng 4:30 a.m. sina Angel at Anne sa pag-aasikaso nito.
FRIENDS WITH SAM. Ibinalita ni Anne na sisimulan na raw ang pelikula nila ni Sam Milby under Star Cinema na Maybe It's You, at sa TV naman ay uumpisahan sa January ang taping ng bago nilang soap opera.
Balik-tambalan na sila ni Sam sa telebisyon at pelikula. Balik-tambalan na rin ba in real life?
"Talagang napunta tayo ro'n 'no?" natatawang sabi ng aktres. "Basta as of now, we'll just see kung saan mapunta. As of now, happy naman kami. We're just enjoying at hindi namin minamadali talaga.
"Admittedly, sinabi naman namin na we're not closing our doors, di ba? At saka, ang tagal din... almost one year na hindi kami... I mean, huwag naman nating madaliin. Maganda na yun para hindi magkamali ulit."
Shortly after her car accident, bumalik sila sa pagiging okey ni Sam. Nakakalabas at nagtatawagan na sila.
"I think, ang maganda lang, at least ngayon, hindi na kami yung, o, basta free day, tayo lang dalawa ang magkasama. Meron na kaming... meron pa rin akong life."
Wala raw siyang ibang dine-date kaya masasabi bang exclusively dating na sila ni Sam?
