Nanghihinayang si Carla Abellana na hindi natuloy ang magkahiwalay na pakikipagtrabaho niya sana sa hottest Kapuso love team na sina Marian Rivera at Dingdong Dantes.
Si Marian ay makakasama sana ni Carla sa Regal Films movie na Nieves, pero na-shelve na ang proejct. Si Dingdong naman ay makakatrabaho niya sana sa StarStruck V, pero ang aktor na ang magiging host ng Family Feud kapalit ni Richard Gomez, na kakandidato sa 2010 elections. Si Dennis Trillo na ang kapalit ni Dingdong sa StarStruck V.
Unang hiningan ng komento ng PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) si Carla tungkol kay Marian at sa Metro Manila Film Festival entry sana nilang Nieves.
"Oo, sobrang nanghinayang ako, kasi I was very much looking forward to that," sabi niya. "Yung Nieves kasi first movie ko sana, tapos with Marian Rivera pa. Kasi action, fantasy, comedy, tapos pang-filmfest pa."
Ano ba dapat ang role niya rito?
"I was supposed to play the role of Nimfa, the newest member to the group of engkanto slayers. Parang apprentice siya doon of Marian Rivera, si Nieves."
May kapalit na ba itong bagong movie offer?
"Hindi ko pa alam, e. Wala pa namang balita. Hopefully, next year na. Sana sa start of the year, meron nang trabaho for a movie. Para maka-experience naman ako ng movie," asam niya.
Sumunod namang hiningan ng pahayag ng PEP ang pagsasama sana nila ni Dingdong sa StarStruck V.
"Siyempre nanghinayang din ako na hindi ko na makakasama si Dingdong sa StarStruck. Kasi si Dingdong na yung nagsimula ng StarStruck, e. Kumbaga, siya ang may alam sa lahat, e. I'm looking forward sana of learning from him. Titingnan ko lang kung paano niya gawin, matututo na ako, e," sabi ni Carla.
STARSTRUCK V. Ano ang nararamdaman niya sa pagiging host niya ng StarStruck V?
"Excited na ako. Gusto ko na silang [contestants] makilala isa-isa. I'm very much looking forward to getting to know everyone better. Good luck to all of us."
Excited na rin ba siya to work with her co-hosts na sina Dennis at Raymond Gutierrez?
"Oo naman," sagot ni Carla. "Kinakabahan na nga rin si Dennis, e. At least meron na akong karamay na baguhan din sa hosting. Excited na ako and I'm very much looking forward to work with him. Basta gagawin namin ang best namin.
"Si Raymond naman, unfortunately, hindi yata kami magkakatrabaho kasi kami ni Dennis, we're live every Sunday. Si Raymond kasi every Saturday. Pero sana magkaroon din ng chance na magkasama kami."
Handa na ba siyang ma-link kay Dennis?
"I'm sure I will be linked to him kasi magkasama nga kami. Okay lang, wala naman akong magagawa doon, e. Basta kami ni Dennis, magtatrabaho lang kami nang maayos."
Ipinagtanggol naman ni Carla ang sarili niya sa isyu na sinasabing siya ang dahilan ng pagkakatanggal ni Jolina Magdangal bilang host ng StarStruck V.
"Hindi naman ako. I found out lang na I was hosting StarStruck straight from management na. And wala naman sinabing reason why they chose me. Hindi ko naman talaga alam kung bakit, e. And I don't believe I was the reason kung ba't siya natanggal. And like what I've said before, management is the best to explain and answer that question," paliwanag niya.
