Nawala sa sirkulasyon si Krista nang magdesisyon siyang pagtuunan nang husto ang kanyang pag-aaral sa Ateneo. Pagkatapos ng apat na taon ay nagbalik siya sa showbiz, this time bilang isang sexy actress. Ni-launch siya sa sexy film na Paupahan noong 2008, kasabay ng pagpu-pose niya sa men's magazine na FHM. Naging kolumnista rin siya ng isa pang men's magazine, ang Maxim.
Sa kanyang pagbabalik ay nagdesisyon din siyang lumipat sa ABS-CBN. Ang una niyang proyekto sa Kapamilya network ay ang afternoon series na Pieta, kung saan naging leading lady siya ni Ryan Agoncillo.
Mapapanood si Krista sa pelikulang Wapakman, na pinagbibidahan ni Manny Pacquiao. Dito sa pelikulang ito pinaniniwalaang nagkalapit sina Krista at Manny.
Si Krista ang calendar girl ng Ginebra San Miguel para sa 2010.
Nakabalik na ng Pilipinas si Manny noong Biyernes, November 20, kasama ang kanyang asawang si Jinkee at ang kanyang entourage. Wala pang balita kung nakabalik na rin si Krista sa bansa. Kumpirmadong nagpunta si Krista at ang kanyang pamilya sa U.S. noong panahong nandoon din si Manny. Isa sa dahilan daw ng pagpunta ni Krista sa U.S. ay para suportahan si Manny sa laban nito kay Miguel Cotto.
