Movie icon Susan Roces is enjoying the challenges of playing a character with senile dementia in Sana Ngayong Pasko. "Not everybody will want to do a story on the life of an old lady. [Pero] very rich yung character, very rich yung emotion.

"Pero bilang nasa edad ko, sometimes you forget na you're no longer a young person. Napapagaya ka sa mga bagets. That is the truth na nangyayari. It's only your age that adds up pero yung feeling mo ganun pa rin. Until you're reminded na, 'Hey, you're not as strong. You cannot move as fast.'
"Well, for the very brief time na nakasama ko sila, dahil five weeks lang naman ang extent ng showing nito, for the few days na nagte-taping kami, lahat naman sila, mga GMA stars, they're very professional. I think they have a bright future ahead, all of them, si TJ [Trinidad], Maxene [Magalona], yung dalawang JC [de Vera at Tiuseco], Ynna Asistio, si Jacob Rica, yung batang apo ko. Lahat sila I can say na in the future we will have new stars."
MMFF MEMORIES.
You will never say no to a good role kasi kailan mo pa ulit magagawa yun.
And it's not that easy to think of a project that requires our age group. At saka very rare na ang nagpo-produce ngayon, e. Everybody is busy with television. It takes a while bago ka makatapos ng isang pelikula."
"Marami. Noong araw very active ang industry, ang daming nagpo-produce. When I see Panday, of course, I can relate very well to Panday because I have also been part of the project offscreen as Ronnie's partner. Mano Po... I was with one of the Mano Po series. Of course, Dolphy movie. I did several with Dolphy. I'm glad, natutuwa ako pag Metro Manila filmfest."
FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE MOVIE INDUSTRY.
Recently, I feel very sad kasi hindi ganun ang nangyayari. Parang wala rin halos napupunta sa industriya.
"Noong generation namin, ipinaglaban namin yun. Kaya malungkot para sa amin dahil we pursued that, e, na yung mga taxes, yung amusement tax, a big portion of that should go to the movie industry. Sa ngayon I'm not in the know how the proceeds are divided."
Pati kayo mga writers, you are part of that. You were witness kung ano ang pinagdaanan ng mga pillars sa industry, kung paano nabuo yan. At saka, as far as government is concerned, ang daming trabahong maibibigay ang industriya ng pelikulang Pilipino.
