Before the awarding ceremony of the 35th Metro Manila Film Festival held last December 28, Arnold Vegafria accompanied his ward Bianca King on the red carpet of the SMX Convention Center, SM Mall of Asia.

Members of the press, including PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal), took this opportunity to interview the talent manager regarding his other ward, Krista Ranillo, who was not present during the awards night. "Krista just left for the United States last December 24 in the evening. She will be staying there until the first week of January," revealed Arnold.

He also revealed why Krista was unable to join the MMFF parade even though she was one of the leading ladies of this action-fantasy film. "On the 23rd [of December], Krista had a show in Koronadal [South Cotabato] and her flight back to Manila was 2 pm so she had no time to join the parade. Then 8 pm naman yung flight niya papunta sa U.S."

When does Krista plan to answer allegations linking her to her Wapakman co-star, Manny Pacquiao? "Yan ang hindi ko pa masasagot...kung kelan  siya ready. Ibigay na lang natin sa kanya yung decision tungkol sa pagharap niya sa media. Pinag-uusapan naman namin yun pero siyempre ire-ready mo muna siya. Hindi mo naman puwede i-pressure siya."

How is Krista holding up now? "She's okay. She can handle it well naman and slowly, matatanggap rin niya yung negative allegations sa kanya."

How is her family dealing with this controversy? "Actually, I'm not in touch with her family since the whole family is in the States," said Arnold.

Last November, former actor Matt Ranillo III issued a statement saying that his daughter does not have an "inappropriate relationship" with the boxing champ.
