As the First Lady of Philippine boxing, Jinkee has to balance her simple tastes with the demands of being a public figure. "Of course people want to see you well-dressed, maganda magdala ng damit...," Jinkee says.

If one thing be said about Jinkee Pacquiao, it's that she stands by her man. From the time that Manny Pacquiaowas still a struggling boxer until he became known as the Pambansang Kamao, Jinkee was in his corner all the way.

How apt then that Jinkee's first-ever cover with Previewmagazine was shot in the boxing ring, where Jinkee exudes toughness and strength while modeling the season's fiercest prints.

Editor-in-chief Pauline Suaco-Juanknows that Jinkee as Preview's cover girl makes for a pleasant surprise. "Jinkee's makeover is one of the most surprising ones that Preview has done to date."

The makeover involves adding hair extensions to make Jinkee's hair worthy of being in a shampoo commercial, and dressing her up in one glamorous outfit after another.

Glamour is not something new to Jinkee, as she professes a love for designer bags. Her collection includes bags from Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Jimmy Choo, Hermes, and even a Birkin. Jinkee hesitates as Preview asks her just how many Birkin bags she owns. "Can I say it?" she laughs, before admitting with a deep breath, "Nine lang." It's a staggering number, considering that one Birkin bag costs at least half-a-million pesos.

However, Jinkee is quick to say, "I don't think I need to buy only expensive stuff or spend a lot of money just because I have the means and resources." Her clothes need not be designer, as she scores her fashion finds in BCBG, Bebe, H&M, Forever 21, Arden B, and Marciano, to name a few brands she likes from the States. Mango and Zara are her go-to stores when she finds herself in Manila. "I always try to stay simple. Simple lang. That's me," Jinkee says.

As the First Lady of Philippine boxing, Jinkee has to balance her simple tastes with the demands of being a public figure. "Of course people want to see you well-dressed, maganda magdala ng damit...," Jinkee says. She prefers to dress without the help of a stylist and do her own makeup, as she admits to Preview, "I'm not very good at matching clothes but I just dress to please myself... I don't really think about fashion too much. I wear what I want."

NOOD KA MUNA!

With all the rumors that have been hounding her lately, Jinkee's Preview shows that not only has she come out on top, she has also never looked better. As Suaco-Juan says, "Jinkee's makeover best illustrates the power of fashion to cast a transformative light on a beleaguered person."

The January-February issue of Preview, which also comes with a special Trend Report that highlights the most important trends for Spring/Summer 2010, is now available in magazine stands, bookstores, and supermarkets nationwide.
