Bagama't isa sa mga hosts ng Entertainment Live si Luis Manzano, hindi siya nakaligtas sa pang-iintriga ng mga co-hosts niyang sina Toni Gonzaga, Bianca Gonzalez, at Mariel Rodriguez.
Isang special interview ang isinagawa ng E-Live girls kay Luis kahapon, January 9, kaugnay sa ex-girlfriend nitong si Angel Locsin. Nataon pa ito sa huling araw ni Luis sa E-Live dahil magiging busy na ito sa malapit nang ipalabas na bagong talent show ng ABS-CBN, Pilipinas Got Talent, kung saan isa si Luis sa mga hosts along with Billy Crawford.
Lalong umigting ang isyung Luis at Angel dahil sa pagsulpot ng mga bagong manliligaw ng award-winning actress. Isa rito ay ang 2009 CNN Hero of the Year na si Efren Peñaflorida. Kinausap pa nga raw mismo ni Efren ang tatay ni Angel.
Nandiyan din ang vocalist ng bandang Parokya ni Edgar na si Chito Miranda, pero pinabulaanan ni Angel na nanliligaw sa kanya ito. Close friends lang daw sila ni Chito, lalo na sa barkadahang Ampalaya Anonymous na naging Calamansi Anonymous. Ito'y isang grupong itinayo ni Angel para sa mga celebrities at mga non-showbiz friends na nakaranas ng recent breakups. Kasama dito sina Cristine Reyes, Bubbles Paraiso, Maxene Magalona, Champ Lui-Pio ng bandang Hale at Bianca King.
Mukha namang hindi pahuhuli si Luis kina Efren at Chito dahil nag-uumpisa na namang manuyo ito kay Angel para ituloy ang kanilang naputol na relasyon.
REAL REASON FOR BREAKUP. Sinimulan ni Toni ang pagtatanong kay Luis, at once and for all sana ay makukuha na ang sagot kung bakit naghiwalay sila ni Angel. Pero di pa rin pinagbigyan ito ng co-host.
"Sa amin kasi ni Angel, we started out na even if showbiz kami, we chose to keep it very, very private. Wala naman kaming pino-promote na pelikula, pino-promote na serye. So, lahat ng mga pinagdaanan namin, as much as possible we would like to keep it between ourselves," pakiusap ni Luis.
"It was a very, very personal issue. And especially lahat ng mga naglabasang issue, walang katotohanan yun. Kahit ako nagulat sa mga ganung isyu. It's betwen Angel and I kung anuman yung naging problema naming dalawa."
NOT THREATENED BY ANGEL'S NEW SUITORS. Si Bianca naman ang sumunod na nagtanong. Ayon sa morenang TV host, "Si Angel na ang sumagot sa kanyang VTR na you are communicating. Since you are communicating right now, how do you feel na maraming nagpaparamdam kay Angel? Like nandiyan ang panliligaw ni Ef [Efren Peñaflorida] o kung sinu-sino pa mang nandiyan sa tabi. Nate-threatened ka ba?"
"You know, nung kami pa nga ni Angel, it was one of those things na alam ko na pag magkasama kami sa mall, o kahit saan man, I know for a fact na at least ninety-nine percent of the guys na nakikita ko, admire Angel. At yung one percent kahit na siguro gay ay talagang ina-admire pa rin siya dahil sa kanyang kagandahan at sa kanyang puso.
"If I feel being threatened? Ayokong isipin yun. Ang sa akin is, we're starting all over again. So, might as well start the right way. Ayokong isipin yung mga external factors na yun na ganyan dahil makakagulo lang yun kung anuman yung gusto naming ayusin or kung ano ang gusto kong mangyari between us.
"Ang sa akin it's between Angel and I. Wala namang kinalaman kung sinuman [ang nanliligaw kay Angel]. That doesn't mean na wala akong respeto sa kanila."
WINNING ANGEL BACK. Tanong naman ni Mariel, "Sinabi mo na kanina na binabalikan mo si Angel..."
"Yes," sambit ni Luis bilang kumpirmasyon na nanliligaw nga ulit siya kay Angel.
What are you doing to win her back?
"The basic things. We have been spending time with each other. Sabi nga namin, start from scratch. It's a new year, might as well start in a very, very fresh way. Hopefully, with a fresh start, everything turns out well. And we'll be back to being the normal kulit at kiti."
When you said na babalikan mo siya, was it because may competition?
"No, it's the alpha male syndrome na pag may pumoporma, na automatic feeling mo pag-aari mo. It's not like that. Nung nag-uusap pa lang kami ni Angel, even before pa may mga naglabasan, e, we were talking about it."
"Mahal niya talaga si Angel," ang tangi na lang nasambit ni Mariel.
GOODBYE TO E-LIVE FOR LUIS. Mga mensahe naman ng pamamaalam ang sumunod na ipinaabot nina Toni, Mariel at Bianca kay Luis dahil pansamantala nga munang iiwan nito ang pagho-host sa E-Live para mag-concentrate sa Pilipinas Got Talent.
