Dennis Trillo has done a lot of TV projects, but his newest afternoon soap, the small-screen adaptation of Gumapang Ka Sa Lusak, poses a challenge for the actor in the field of drama.

"Medyo political pero maraming twists. Maganda iyon, kasi Lino Brocka iyon, so classic."

Dennis also expressed excitement at being paired anew with Jennylyn Mercado.

"Maganda ang gagawin namin," Dennis promised.

DENNIS AND CRISTINE REYES SIGHTING. Dennis was recently the subject of a  "PEP Alert" Tweet post that had him hanging out with ex-girlfriend Cristine Reyes. Are the two getting back together? Or did they ever break up in the first place?

"Nagkataon lang, na isang beses lang and nagkita lang kami doon sa isang lugar," Dennis explained. "Isang malaking grupo kasi iyon, e...

"Gusto ko lang linawin na hindi porke't nagkita or lumabas, ibig sabihin kami ulit. Iyon lang ang gusto ko linawin. Kaibigan lang talaga."

Dennis shared that his siblings remain close to Cristine even after their breakup.

CARLENE AGUILAR ON CALIX AND CRISTINE. It would seem that another member of his family is getting close to Cristine as well. It is said that his son Calix by ex-girlfriend Carlene Aguilar, is becoming comfortable with Cristine and that they even have a picture together.

Carlene, who remains on good terms with Dennis, and like him, has a tattoo of their son's name, gave her reaction to Startalk yesterday, January 16.

"Talaga?" she said to host Joey de Leon in a phone interview. "Hindi naman siguro. Kasi, alam ko once ko lang nakasama [si Cristine]. Hindi ko alam kung may picture sila together. Hindi ko talaga alam kung close sila pero alam ko isang beses lang at accidental lang."

Is Calix staying with her right now?

"Oo," she answered. She added that Dennis takes Calix out for some father-and-son bonding when he isn't busy and on Tuesdays.

Does Cristine ever come along to pick up Calix?

"Hindi naman," Carlene laughed.
