Naging bahagi na ng buhay-showbiz ng Kapuso star na si Chynna Ortaleza ang Sunday musical-variety show na SOP. Pero ngayong tapos na ang SOP, sinabi ni Chynna sa PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) na hindi na siya kasama sa papalit na show rito, ang Party Pilipinas.
"No, hindi ako part ng Party Pilipinas," sabi niya. "Hindi ko rin naman alam ang exact reason. Siguro sa sobrang ngarag nila, hindi na nila nakausap ang ibang artistang hindi na-retain [sa show]."
Hindi itinanggi ni Chynna na kahit paano ay umasa siya na baka maging part pa rin siya ng Party Pilipinas. Sa farewell episode kasi ng SOP last February 28 ay kasama pa siya sa meeting after the show.
"Na-adbaysan na lang din kasi ako na hindi na kami part ng show noong nagtanong ako sa handler ko. Noong nag-end na ang SOP, siyempre, pinalipas ko muna ang ilang days para malaman kung makakasama pa rin kami. And yun nga, I found out na hindi na kasama ang name ko and yung group namin."
Ang grupo na tinutukoy ni Chynna ay ang SH3, kung saan kasama niya sina Ryza Cenon at LJ Reyes.
Sumama ba ang loob niya sa nangyari?

Dagdag niya, "It took a day bago mag-sink in sa akin ang nangyari. Pero naisip ko lang to look at the positive side of everything. Siyempre, kinausap ko rin sina Ryza at LJ. Siguro, it's a good time to take advantage na makapag-training pa kami sa dancing, voice lesson para mas ma-enhance pa ang craft namin. Naantala rin kasi yung pag-record namin ng original songs. Ngayon, mas nahaharap na namin na makapag-record ng bagong materials."
LOOKING FOR A NEW NAME. Ayon kay Chynna, posible raw na baguhin nila ang pangalan ng grupo nila.
"Kasi noong ni-launch kami, hindi kami aware na meron pa lang Taiwanese na same ang name and tatlo rin sila. We're thinking of a new name bago kami i-relaunch. At the same time, ayaw rin naman naming ilabas na hindi pa kami reding-ready. Yung sa training naman na gagawin namin, actually, it's more on hindi lang yung group ang magbe-benefit kung hindi kami ring tatlo as individual artists," saad niya.
Malaking sorpresa naman daw sa grupo nila ang malamang sa isang online forum that gives important to pop music, ang popsicles.ph, ay nag-No. 2 ang original song nilang "Move," with Sam Concepcion's "Missed You" leading the survey. Ang iba pang artists na nakita naming nakasama sa Top 10 ay sina Christian Bautista, Yeng Constantino, Sarah Geronimo, among others.
Ayon kay Chynna, "Sobrang na-surprise kami kasi hindi ko rin naman alam na may bumoboto sa 'Move.' Dalawang beses lang kaming nakapag-perform sa TV ng 'Move.' After that, wala na, hindi rin naman na-promote.
"Tapos, kaalam-alam ko, No. 2 siya sa survey. Kasi kapag makita mo yung list, mapa-proud ka. Siyempre kami, na-inspire lalo. Hindi talaga namin na-expect na may bumuboto sa amin. Kung sinuman ang mga naglagay sa amin sa No. 2 position, salamat talaga.
"At sa mga sumusuporta naman talaga sa amin, thank you. Kasi alam ko, nagbo-vote na sila ngayon para raw maging No. 1. Sa totoo lang, 'eto kasi yung mga surprise sa career namin. Hindi naman namin ine-expect na magkakaroon kami ng original song, all the more na magiging part siya ng isang survey. Two weeks straight na nasa No. 2 position, so sobrang nakakatuwa, nakaka-inspire."
Napapanood pa rin si Chynna sa primetime series na The Last Prince. Sa next episode naman ng Dear Friend ay makaka-love triangle siya nina Jackie Rice at Joross Gamboa.
