Willie Revillame is not backing down on his threat to resign from his noontime show, Wowowee.

In his interview aired on TV Patrol World tonight, May 7, the popular TV host underscored, "I mean what I say."

Three days ago he publicly announced on Wowowee that he would  resign from the show if ABS-CBN does not fire Jobert Sucaldito from The Buzz and his radio show on dzMM. (CLICK HERE to read related story.)

Jobert earned Willie's ire when he criticized Wowowee for allowing high school students with low grade averages to be contestants on the show.

In the report, Star Patroller Marie Lozano quoted Willie for saying he's not scared of anyone, "Lalo na tama raw siya."

"Natatakot akong mawalan ng trabaho? Pag magaling ka, may bilib ka sa sarili mo, at mabuti kang tao, 'wag kang matakot. May kukuha sa 'yo. Ba't ako matatakot? Isa lang ba ang channel?" he said.

Willie Revillame has been absent in Wowowee since Wednesday, May 5. The staff of the noontime show told TV Patrol that the host had not resigned, and is just enjoying a leave of absence in order to to rest.
