Feeling bad about her "poor showing" at the recent polls, actress and Parañaque re-electionist councilor Alma Moreno immediately left the city after she was proclaimed winner.

Moreno, 51, Venessa (not Vanessa) Lacsamana-Salic in real life, landed on the 7^th and last spot in the council slate in Parañaque.

She flew to Marawi City to be with her husband Sultan Fajad "Pre" Salic, who won his re-election bid for mayor of the city.

Moreno felt so bad about her cellar position that she did not join her own motorcade on Saturday to thank Parañaque voters for her win, according to a campaign staffer.

"Talagang masama ang loob ni Konsehala," the staffer said. "Kami lang ang naiwan dito," she added, indicating an empty headquarters on Airport Road.

Moreno, now Mrs. Salic after she married the Sultan about a year ago, said earlier that she had found utmost fulfillment in her political career.

"I have never been happier than now that I'm able to help other people," she said.

Despite her poor showing, Moreno vowed to exceed herself in serving the people.

In a cell phone interview with PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal), she said she would strengthen her projects, particularly in health care, to make her presence more significant in Parañaque politics.

Moreno has her own medicine distribution center in the city and doles out free medicines to her poor constituents.

She admitted that her political plans don't stop at a council seat. Earlier, she ran for vice mayor of Parañaque but lost.

"No one knows the future," she said. "But if it were up to me, I would continue what I'm doing...and I think I'm doing something good for the city and the people."
