Kris Bernal will have Brazilian-Japanese model Daniel Matsunaga as love interest for the new installment of GMA-7's Lovebug titled "Wish Come True." The series, which was shot in Singapore, will debut this Sunday, June 20, after Party Pilipinas.

At the press conference held yesterday, June 15, at the Executive Lounge of GMA Network Center in Quezon City, Kris said she's delighted to work outside the confines of her love team with Aljur Abrenica.

"Nakakapanibago po siyempre kasi nakasanayan ko na si Aljur 'yong araw-araw ko pong katrabaho talaga so ngayon nakakapanibago. Pero si Daniel po kasi nakatrabaho ko na sa Last Prince. So, kahit papaano alam ko naman na din 'yong kilos niya at kung paano siya sa set. So, medyo madali din para sa akin. Pero at the same time po kinakabahan ako dahil hindi rin po natin sigurado kung papatok o tatanggapin ng viewers," explained Kris.

The StarStruck 4 winner praised Daniel for being a true gentleman on the set despite having to adjust still, both in speaking Tagalog and the demands of working in front of the camera.

"Kasi every time kasama ko si Daniel, feeling ko baby ako, feeling ko prinsesa ako. Kasi talagang inaalagaan niya ako. Ganun ba lahat ng Brazilian?" asked Kris with a laugh.

Turning serious, Kris added, "Magaan po katrabaho si Daniel 'tsaka mabait siya... Walang reklamo sa taping."

NO RIFT WITH RICH. Interestingly, Aljur's rumored girlfriend Rich Asuncion is part of the cast of "Wish Come True."

Working in a foreign land provided both Rich and Kris a rare chance make small talk while on break from the shoot.

Kris, however, was honest enough to admit that conversations between them were mostly limited and short. "Mas nag-uusap kami while there in Singapore. Pero ganun lang kasi hindi rin talaga kami close in the first place... Magkaibigan kami, pero hindi kami ganun ka-close."

The 21-year-old actress would also rather not comment on Aljur's supposed intimate relationship with Rich so as not to further confuse their fans who are all hoping to see their idols develop a real-life romance.

"'Yong mga nangyayari kay Aljur, sabihin na natin 'yong mga babaeng nali-link sa kanya, ayoko na po manggaling sa akin kasi napapasama ako and napapasama rin si Aljur. Siguro mas okay talaga na kung ano 'yong sabihin ni Aljur, doon po ako maniniwala. Hindi po ako magku-comment kasi hindi ko alam kung ano talaga 'yong totoo," said Kris.

Someone commented that Aljur has turned into a "Denial King" for refusing to acknowledge anything about his love life.

"Denial Prince!" Kris playfully countered with a smile. "Huwag naman 'King,' sobra-sobra na 'yon!"
