Rima Ostwani, the girlfriend of actor Diether Ocampo, says she made a good decision in getting help from talent manager Boy Abunda as she joins show business. Her showbiz career is now being managed by Boy's talent management, Backroom Inc.
"Personal choice ko po 'yon. I'm very comfortable with Tito Boy, he understands what I want and kumbaga, he gives me good advice. So I think he's the person to guide me in this," said Rima in an interview during the launch of the Pinoy Pledge issue of a glossy magazine last Thursday, June 17, at the Manila Hotel.
Rima described the The Buzz co-host as someone who really gives his full support to his talents.
She added, "He really handles everything very well. Tapos thankful ako na siya 'yong manager ko kasi parang I don't have to worry about anything 'cause I'm in good hands."
Since she's just starting, Rima would want to be part of shows that are more about public affairs.
"Forte ko po in speaking public," said the newbie celebrity. "I think that's one thing that I do well and that's one thing I'd like to pursue po. Hopefully po, we're eyeing mga lifestyle shows, things like that, upcoming pa lang po siya."
Rima said she's not really thinking of an acting job, for now.
"Honestly po, I don't see myself as an actress," she related. "I don't have that talent of acting. I don't know why, but that's just how I feel. So, siguro we'll keep it at hosting. Pero if given the opportunity in the future, I'm not closing my doors. Malay natin, baka naman may hidden talent."
Does her boyfriend Diether Ocampo give her tips about showbiz?
"Actually, todo-suporta naman siya," she replied. "He's like any other boyfriend, concerned, gives advice, guides me, ganun. Pero supportive din siya, which I appreciate din po."
"NO PERFECT RELATIONSHIP." Speaking of her boyfriend, Rima says she and Diether are both happy with their relationship, which negates previous breakup rumors about them.
Instead of explaining the unconfirmed reports, Rima just talked about little misunderstandings that normal couples usually experience.
"Wala namang perfect na relationship, di ba?" she asked the media. "So, may adjustment between the two of us. It's not every day that it's a bed of roses. Busy rin kami, may mga challenges din kami. So, we go through things as a couple as well. Pero more than anything, we're happy kumbaga."
Right now, Rima said that they're both busy with their work but assured the public that they're still together, "We're okay."
