Bagamat presscon para sa bagong show ng TV5 na Star Factor ang pinunta ni Ruffa Gutierrez, hindi pa rin pinaligtas ng PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) at iba pang press si Ruffa sa intriga, lalo na ang tungkol sa usap-usapan ngayong pagkaka-link niya sa Smartmatic president at Venezuelan na si Cesar Flores.

"All that I can say is that he's just a new friend. We've just recently met. So, I'm beginning to enjoy his company and get to know him better as a friend. As of now, wala pa siya rito. He's back home in Venezuela," reaksiyon ni Ruffa sa isyu nang ma-interview siya sa presscon na ginanap sa City Best restaurant sa Tomas Morato, Quezon City kahapon, July 20.

Nagre-react ba ang Mommy niya na si Annabelle Rama sa pagkaka-link niya kay Cesar?

"Hindi naman, thank God."

Ano naman ang masasabi niya na tila boto ang parents niya kay Cesar?

"Well, alam mo ang favorite word ko these days is premature. It's still premature for any of that, kung boto sila. You know, I think they should give us time to know each other. And importante naman kasi sa pagpapakilala mo sa isang tao or getting to know them pag may privacy. Siyempre, hindi naman puwedeng lahat na lang ikukuwento ko sa inyo, di ba?" sabi niya.

NEWFOUND FRIEND. Ano ba ang dating sa kanya ng lalakeng isa rin sa naging controversial figures last May elections dahil sa involvement nito sa Smartmatic, na may hawak sa mga PCOS machines na ginamit sa first Philippine automated elections?

"Well, mabait naman siya. He's very nice," sagot ni Ruffa. "But ayoko naman siyang masyadong purihin. Baka naman mamaya mabasa pa niya ito, baka sabihin...di ba? So, as of now, pa-girl muna ako at quiet. Importante kahit na wala naman namamagitan sa amin bilang more than just friends, ang importante, I was able to make a new friend. With all of those talks, like I said, it's still premature kasi I've only seen him three times in my life. So, NFF siya, newfound friend. Ang importante single, di ba?"

Ano ang comment niya na tila mas nali-link siya sa mga foreigners?

"Hindi naman. May mga Pinoy din naman diyan. Pero siguro yung mga nali-link sa akin ngayon, medyo controversial because of the elections. But we're just friends."

As friends, meron na ba silang gift-giving ni Cesar?

"Gift-giving? Grabe ka naman! Premature, ano ba! Premature lang talaga. Wala pa talaga. As of now, tinutukso lang siguro kami kasi they say... Yung iba, sabi bagay kami, we look good together. So, ayun, ayoko naman paasahin yung mga tao na wala pa naman talaga."

Magkikita ba sila ni Cesar pagbalik nito ng Pilipinas?

"If he comes back and he calls me, let's see," sagot niya. "If I'm free sa schedule ko. Kasi busing-busy rin ako dito sa Star Factor. Ang concentration ko now is not on the affairs of my heart, it's more on my work. That's why I'm here sa TV5."

NOT IN A HURRY FOR A NEW LOVE. Pero ano ang possibility na ma-in love siya sa new guy?
