Despite his busy schedule, young actor Rocco Nacino still makes it a point to spend time with his family and his fans.
Katulad na nga lang kahapon, August 15 (Linggo), nakipag-bonding siya sa kanyang pamilya at fans sa "three-in-one" celebration na ginanap sa Opal Room ng Jade Palace sa Shaw Blvd., Mandaluyong City. Ang unang celebration ay ang 51st birthday ng mommy ni Rocco na si Mrs. Linda Nacino; pangalawa, ang get-together ng fan club niyang "Roccofellas"; at pangatlo, ang outreach program ng pamilya ni Rocco.
Five years nang nagsasagawa ng outreach program ang Nacino family para sa kabataan, sa tulong ng church group nilang Pax Christi. This year ay nakakadalawa na silang outreach programs. The first was in March, in time for Rocco's birthday at victory party na rin para sa pagiging Second Prince niya sa StarStruck V. At kagabi nga ang pangalawa, kung saan 35 scholars from Smart Achievers Christian School of Pasig ang napili nilang bigyan ng school supplies at iba't ibang goodies. (CLICK HERE to see more photos.)
Sa kalagitnaan ng activities kagabi ay nakausap ng PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) si Rocco. Dito na namin siya tinanong tungkol sa mga pinagkakaabalahan niya ngayon, at siyempre pa, ang mga isyung kinasasangkutan niya.
BUSY ROCCO. Dalawa ang regular shows ngayon ni Rocco sa GMA-7—ang musical-variety show na Party Pilipinas every Sunday at ang fantasy-sitcom na Kaya ng Powers every Saturday. Bago matapos ang August ay ipalalabas na ang one-month episode nila ni Lovi Poe sa daytime drama anthology na Lovebug. In between ay may TV guestings din siya sa iba't ibang Kapuso programs.
Kaya ang unang tanong ng PEP kay Rocco: May pahinga pa ba siya sa dami ng kanyang ginagawa?
"Wala!" natatawa niyang sagot.
At upang patunayan na totoo ang sinabi niya ay ikinuwento niya sa amin ang naging schedule niya last week.
"Monday to Wednesday [August 9-11], nag-tape po kami ng Lovebug sa Palawan. I didn't get to enjoy yung mga tourist attractions kasi all work kami. Sa script po kami nakatingin ni Lovi. Magdamagan po 'yon, nag-start kami ng 4 a.m. [Monday], natapos kami ng 6:30 a.m. [Wednesday].
"Pagbalik ko po [sa Manila], nagpahinga ako saglit tapos pumunta ako sa birthday ni Enzo [last Aug. 11]. The next day [Aug. 12], nag-tape po kami ng Kaya ng Powers, tapos natapos kami ng 4:30 the next day [Aug. 13]. Umuwi ako, naligo, tapos nag-ayos ng gamit... Hindi na ako natulog.
"Tapos, nagpunta ako ng Cavite ng 6 a.m. Nag-tape kami ng Lovebug, pero dito sa Manila na. Tapos, natapos po kami 6:30 a.m., tapos may call time po ako ng 8 a.m. sa Eat Bulaga!. So, gano'n po ulit, umuwi ako, naligo, nagpalit ako ng damit, tapos takbo na ako sa Eat Bulaga! para mag-rehearse for the opening number. After ng Eat Bulaga!, diretso na rehearsals ng Party Pilipinas naman," paglalahad ni Rocco.
Dahil sa dami ng ginagawa niya ay halos wala na raw siyang tulog.
"Paputol-putol po, three hours... Sa biyahe, sa dressing room... Medyo namamaga pa nga mata ko, e. Yung mga konting idlip ko, parang bitin na bitin. So, parang halata po sa mata ko," sabi niya.
Pero sa kabila nito ay hindi naman nagrereklamo si Rocco.

TIME FOR HIS FAMILY. Ngayong busy na siya sa kanyang showbiz career, how does he make time for his family?
"Time management siguro," sagot ni Rocco. "Sa schedule, magpapaalam po ako sa handler ko na, 'Maybe itong appointment ko na 'to, i-set mo ng one hour later para makapag-dinner muna ako sa family ko.' Kasi yung Saturdays and Sundays ko po, kain na 'yan sa Party Pilipinas. May technical rehearsals pa ako, so umaabot na 'yan ng 1 a.m., 2 a.m.
"Lalo na po kahapon [August 14], birthday talaga ni Mommy. Natapos kami nang maaga sa Party Pilipinas. So, at least, may time ako para makasama silang lahat, nakapag-dinner kami."
Kuwento pa ni Rocco, talagang itinaon ng mommy niya na available siya para magawa nila ang kanilang outreach program.
"As much as possible, if time permits and may enough manpower kami para magawa po 'yan, kahit ilang beses po, gagawin namin," sabi niya.
