"Siya lang ang babae na nakakatalo sa akin sa argument. Kumbaga, nako-corner ako. 'Tama ka nga.' And at the same time, she's super sweet. So, how strong and smart she is, naba-balance ng how sweet she is, and how caring she is," says Victor Basa about girlfriend Divine Lee.

Actor and TV host Victor Basa did not hesitate to confirm that he and real estate heiress Divine Lee are now in a serious relationship.
"Opo. Dire-diretso 'di ba?" Victor told PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) in an interview yesterday, August 19, at the launch of ONE Naturales at SM Makati.
PEP first spotted Victor and Divine together at the launch of the Greenhills branch of Belo Medical Clinic last August 10. When PEP asked Divine if she and Victor were dating, she said yes. Now Victor has confirmed that their romantic relationship is official.
"Well, alam naman ng lahat e," Victor said. "I admitted it sa SNN, and I admitted it to you, now."
He further explained, "I'm happy naman that I have other people to listen to me. Kasi siyempre kapag mahal mo ang isang tao, gusto mong ipakita. Kapag itinago mo pa, mas lalong lalabas, 'di ba? At mukha ka namang... And the girl does not deserve that."
He did not reveal, however, when they started going steady.
"Well, number one... one thing for me is I try not to count, because when you count, it's like a production date and an expiration date. Ayokong magkaroon ng expiration date kasi ayokong mag-end," he said.
Why is he attracted to Divine?
"Siya lang ang babae na nakakatalo sa akin sa argument," he replied after a short pause. "Kumbaga, nako-corner ako. 'Tama ka nga.' And at the same time, she's super sweet. So, how strong and smart she is, naba-balance ng how sweet she is, and how caring she is."
Victor also likes how Divine has turned into a "fitness buff." Together, they practice TRX, a fitness brand that represents a fitness style called Suspension Training.
"Siya yung nag-aya sa akin," Victor explains. "Nagulat nga ako kasi usually ako nagyayaya: 'Uy, mag-running tayo.' E siya parang, 'Ayoko, ayoko.' E recently, napaka-ano na niya, super-fitness buff na siya. 'O sige, TRX tayo.' Si Reema Chanco is our teacher."
Going to the gym together, Victor says, is one of the gifts they both treasure.
"Our gift talaga is our time for each other because, you know, our schedules are very hectic, so any time that we get, we try to make it quality time talaga," he says.
Is this relationship heading for marriage?
"We'll see. We're both young," he answers.
CAREER MATTERS. Switching gears, Victor talks about upcoming events in his career.
"Latest, ASAP. We have a tour in Europe," he reveals. "We're getting ready for that. I'll be with the Cover Boys. We'll be in London on the 9th, October 9, and Zurich sa Switzerland."
ASAP Cover Boys is composed of ABS-CBN's hunks, including Jake Cuenca, Zanjoe Marudo, Will Devaughn, Jon Avila, Rafael Rosell, and Victor himself.
Victor adds, "I'm very very excited kasi Europe's something else. To be so far from home, and to get pa rin yung support ng mga tao, parang nakakabilib. Kasi hindi mo ine-expect, e, na yung like in London, biglang makikilala ka."
