In my opinion, I think we dont need an interpreter. Why? English is the medium of instruction in our education system so I dont see any reason why we can't speak English well. Everywhere u go in the Philippines, English is widely spoken, wether in print, TV, Tv commercials and the likes.

The world knows that Filipino speaks English so why do we need a translater in Miss Universe.

It is the candidate's responsibility to express herself notwitstanding her ability to speak in English and convey your msge even though not necessarily grammaticall correct.Venus can speak English well but let's face it she was carried away with her top 5 finish and agains based on on her previous interviews with Venus, I really do not find her articulate at all. When a person makes mistakes or does something wrong, some people tend to focus on the person's character. They become judgmental and resort to character assassination.
Before attacking a person's character, think about how you would feel if others do the same to you,judge you, or say something about you. Even if the person does not hear/ read what you are saying, it is still improper and not in good taste to do such thing. Think from another person's view- even if it is different from your own, for it will help you treat other people with love, kindness and RESPECT.
