StarStruck V Second Prince Rocco Nacino has been in showbiz for only a year but he feels lucky to be chosen as one of the ten celebrity centerfolds of Cosmopolitan magazine.
Aside from Rocco, the other celebrity centerfolds are actors Sam Milby (who is on the cover of the Cosmo Men supplement), Tom Rodriguez, Matteo Guidicelli, Carl Guevara, Joross Gamboa, Fabio Ide, thespian Marco Mañalac, and model Bryann Foronda.
Rocco is photographed with a huge kalaw (hornbill) perched on his left arm. He spent a whole afternoon at the Avilon Zoo near Tiendesitas for this pictorial.
How did he prepare for this "wild" photo shoot?
"One month ako nagtodo sa pag-gym kahit na medyo mahirap ipasok ang gym sa schedule. Pero basta may time para makapag-workout, at least one hour, pumupunta pa rin ako sa gym," said Rocco during the press conference held recently for the celebrity centerfolds.
"Nung sinabi sa akin na magiging part ako ng celebrity centerfolds, in-accept ko agad kasi gusto ko talaga.
"Masaya ako sa kinalabasan. Supposedly, naka-jeans ako niyan pero meron kaming mga boxers na tinray. Sabi ko, sige subukan natin baka okay tingnan. Nung nakita ko yung mga preview, maganda. So, sabi ko, sige let's go through with it."
Some people say he accepted this sexy pictorial because he's in a hurry to boost his career. He dismissed this by saying, "Hindi naman. It's for Cosmo and normal lang yun. Ako, okay lang ako sa mga ganyang pictorials."
Is he afraid that this pictorial will change the public's image of him?
"Hindi ko naman laging gagawin 'yan. Siguro matagal pa bago ko gawin uli ang ganyan," Rocco said.
Is he open to accepting daring roles in the future?
"Sa totoo lang, hindi pa ako ganun ka-ready, pero okay ako sa ganung klaseng roles. Let's see...baka kaya ko na. Pag-uusapan namin ng GMA Artist Center kung para sa akin talaga, pero open po ako."
What is the reaction of his StarStruck V batchmates to this pictorial? "Masaya sila para sa akin," said the GMA-7 actor with a smile.
It's interesting that Prince Stefan of StarStruck V is included in the Cosmo Men supplement as one of the "69 Savage Studs." The other celebrities are Guji Lorenzana, Felix Roco and three former housemates of Pinoy Big Brother Double Up: Johan Santos, Paul Jake Castillo and Hermes Bautista. This supplement is included in the September issue of the magazine, which has Andi Eigenmann on the cover.
This year's Cosmo Bachelor Bash will be held at the World Trade Center in Pasay City this Thursday, September 9.
