Two days after Alden Richards asked out 2011 FHM Sexiest Woman Sam Pinto on a "friendly date," the rising newbie is yet to hear from her.

Although he braved national television when he was put on the spot on GMA network's Sunday showbiz-oriented program Showbiz Central, after he confirmed that he did have a crush on Sam, Alden is still all jittery when asked to recall the incident. (CLICK HERE to read story.)

"Nakakahiya nga po... on national television pa, tapos FHM's number one. A lot of guys would kill to have Sam Pinto for a date!" confesses an uneasy Alden to PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) during the shooting of Tween Academy: Class of 2012 yesterday, July 19, at Republiq bar and restaurant in Resorts World Manila.

And who is not to feel awkward?

As the recently dubbed "Pambansang Dimples" says, his admiration for Sam compares to a "school boy na [may] dream girl."

Alden first encountered the slender actress when he did a guesting for Kapuso channel's gag show Bubble Gang and what struck him was her humility.

He shares, "I don't feel her title as FHM's sexiest woman because she establishes herself in front of others just like everybody else."

Alden describes Sam as "koboy" and "down to earth."

So has Sam given her answer?

A coy but happy Alden relays that Sam sent him a message on Twitter a day after she saw his interview in "Don't Lie to Me" segment hosted by John "Sweet" Lapus.

Sam's tweet, as recalled by the young actor was: "Hi Alden. See you on the shoot tomorrow."

In a concise reply, he expressed his elation, "See you and thanks for tweeting."

Although Sam has yet to confirm if it indeed is a yes—or God forbid, a no—Alden still has no idea about where he will take her.

Alden says he will cross the bridge when he gets there.

For now, he keeps busy working on Tween Academy: Class of 2012, a GMA Films production directed by Mark Reyes.
