Noong August 12 ay ipinagdiwang ni Iza Calzado ang kanyang 29th birthday sa noontime show ng GMA-7 na Eat Bulaga!.

Pero imbes na maging masaya ang Kapuso actress sa pagdiriwang ng kanyang birthday ay nabahiran ito ng kalungkutan.

Ito ay may kinalaman sa paghihiwalay nila ng kanyang longtime boyfriend at businessman na si Atticus King.

Sa live interview ni Iza sa Showbiz Central kahapon, August 21, ay isiniwalat ng aktres ang kanyang saloobin tungkol dito—sa una at huling pagkakataon.

Sabi ng nag-interview kay Iza na si Pia Guanio, na kasamahan din ng aktres sa Eat Bulaga!, "It's supposed to be a happy day for you, pero instead of laughter it became tears. Ano bang nangyari sa 'yo that day talaga?"

Ang tinutukoy ni Pia ay ang birthday celebration nga ni Iza sa Eat Bulaga!.

"Well, I was laughing during that whole thing in between the crying, di ba?" tumatawang sabi ni Iza.

"A, no... Okay, basically you're asking why I cried. I cried because I was feeling very emotional that day.

"Alam mo yun? Birthday ko, e, and like what's been coming out in the tabloids, the rumors are true—and I have been single for quite some time.

"And it was the very first birthday in a long time na sinelebreyt ko na single ako.

"And siguro kaya din... I was thinking of going out of the country but I opted to celebrate it in Eat Bulaga!.

"Kasi sabi ko, every time nga na nasa Eat Bulaga! ako, napi-feel ko talaga yung love, may support, you know, and happiness whenever I'm on set.

"So, that day was just very emotional for me and I didn't realize that I was going to cry like that.

"Pero ano naman, you know it turned out really well, yeah."

So were those tears of joy or sadness?

"A little bit of both, maybe," sagot ni Iza.
