Leading man JC de Vera is happy to play different roles on TV.
"Natawa ako isang beses, Friday ba yun o Thursday...Parang nauna yung Utol 'tapos ka-back-to-back niya yung Lokomoko, 'tapos may Untold Stories.
"Tatlong shows na magkakasunod na puro ako. Di parang nalito...di ba, nalito yung mga tao," he relates during the pocket press conference of his series Ang Utol Kong Hoodlum in Cravings (Tomas Morato branch).
JC says comedy was never his cup of tea but he has been trying to learn its intricacies.
What does he really want to do—action, drama or comedy?
"Singer, gusto ko talagang maging singer!" he exclaims, giving PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) a sample of his deadpan humor.
He says he just wants to work, so he can show off his many talents and give his best.
Having tried the three genres, he now realizes, "mas nakakasakit ulo [ang] magpatawa," because it requires more energy.
But whether the Kapatid network will give him a soap, sitcom or action series is fine with him.
Earning the Drama Prince tag flatters him, but he wants to be known as a "flexible" actor.
