At Sun Life Financial's event last Saturday, October 8, PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) caught up with actor Piolo Pascual, the face and ambassador of the insurance company; alongside celebrity mother Pia Magalona, football jocks Armand and Anton del Rosario, and television host Bam Aquino.

Despite Piolo's tight schedule these days, the actor still has time for humanitarian endeavors, one of which is SunPiology—a collaboration between Sun Life Financial and Piolo's very own charity foundation, Hebreo.

SunPiology is now on its third year and is continuing its fund-raising efforts to put its scholars in school.

On December 10, 2011, the collaboration will be hosting an event dubbed "Rave, Run, and Raise Funds for a Cause."

Among the project's activities is the "Sunset Run," which will consist of three races—3 km, 5 km, and 10 km distances.

Piolo, who is a triathlete and a competitive runner, promotes his advocacy in education as well as living a healthy lifestyle.

GEARING UP FOR A TELESERYE. In a brief interview with Piolo, the actor mentioned preparing for his upcoming drama series Padre de Pamilya.

He topbills the teleserye with colleague Jericho Rosales and seasoned actor Christopher de Leon. (CLICK HERE to read related story.)

The series kicks into full gear this week, starting off with the cast's initial script-reading on Monday (October 10), followed shortly thereafter by its first shooting day on Thursday (October 13).

Piolo expresses his eagerness to work on the project, "I'm really excited because tuloy na tuloy na yung taping namin."

U.S. TOUR. The actor also talked about his forthcoming tour with real-life girlfriend KC Concepcion and pop rock singer-songwriter Yeng Constantino.

"I'm just gonna be gone a few weeks from now because of my U.S. tour, but it's just for two weeks.

"We're doing four or five shows and then I'll be back for taping, kasi ipapalabas agad yung show," explains Piolo.

The tour is slated for the last week of October.

According to the actor, they will visit Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and San Diego.
