"The Filipinos make the trip worthwhile here every single time." American singer-songwriter David Archuleta, confirming his delight over the Philippine tourism campaign's tagline, 'More fun in the Philippines' as he is greeted by Filipino adoring fans with smiles and screams upon his arrival at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 2.

Pop singer David Archuleta, who charmed Filipinos with his hit singles "Crush," "Little Too Not Over You," "Elevator," and "Something 'bout Love," was welcomed by screaming fans at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 2 today, January 13, on his 5:30 a.m. touchdown.

Upon his exit from the airport, the singer-songwriter was greeted by actresses Jasmine Curtis-Smith and Eula Caballero.

The two young TV5 talents will shoot a primetime soap series Nandito Ako with the American Idol season 7 runner-up.

It was David's first time to meet with Jasmine and Eula.

In a brief interview with the media, the charming singer expressed excitement over his project in the Philippines, his first major acting job.

David has only done cameo appearances before in Nickelodeon channel's Hannah Montana and iCarly.

While thrilled, David admits feeling jittery.

He says, "I've always been nervous about things when it comes to acting...

"But I just thought because...the Filipino fans are very supportive and very warm it kind of made it easier to [say], 'Okay, let's try it.'"
