GMA Network Inc. inaugurated
the GMA Network Studios last October 17 with President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo as guest of honor. The new establishment boasts world-class, state-of-the-art facilities to fulfill the network's goal—to give local and overseas television viewers quality programs.

In
a statement released before the inauguration, GMA Network,
Inc. President & CEO Atty. Felipe Gozon explained why and for whom the
entire GMA team put up the GMA Network Studios.
"It
is our viewers' continued patronage, our advertisers' loyalty, our stakeholders'
support that inspire us to persistently look for innovative ways to develop, produce
and distribute original, groundbreaking and superior TV programs that our
Filipino audience here and around the world truly deserve."

The
sight of Vice President Noli de Castro in a huddle with GMA-7's top official Atty. Felipe Gozon might have been a rare occurrence
in the past, given Noli's affiliation with ABS-CBN. But being the country's
second most powerful political figure, the former broadcaster now enjoys the
luxury of attending functions of these rival networks without fuss.

GMA-7's
Senior Vice President for Entertainment TV Wilma Galvante gamely joined Vice
President Noli de Castro for a photo op. Later that evening, PEP caught up with the network executive to verify the rumor
that they're planning to get the services of embattled columnist-host Cristy
Fermin.
"No,"
Ms. Galvante told PEP, "that's not true. Actually, kanina lang din namin nalaman ‘yong
suspension niya."
