The Philippine Movie
Press Club (PMPC), Inc. staged its annual Star Awards for Television last
November 30 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City. GMA-7 bagged the
Station of the Year honor but ABS-CBN gathered most of the awards given out
that evening.

Pilipinas, Game KNB? host Edu Manzano arrived with his rumored girlfriend, broadcaster
Pinky Webb. Edu somehow put all doubts to rest when he endearingly acknowledged
Pinky in his thank you speech later that evening.
Judy
Ann Santos, pictured here with co-host Gabby Concepcion, displayed her hosting skills—perhaps with
some pointers from her fiancé, seasoned reality-show host Ryan Agoncillo.
Tim
Yap (left) and Raymond Gutierrez received the Best Lifestyle Show trophy for Q11's Living ItUp. Tim and Raymond host the show together with Issa Litton and Sam Oh.
Lucy
Torres-Gomez was both stunned and overwhelmed with the victory of her TV5 show,
Shall We Dance, in the Best Talent
Search Program category. Lucy along with Arnell Ignacio and Dominic Ochoa
clinched the Best Talent Search Show Program Host award.
This
year's recipient of the Ading Fernando Lifetime Achievement Award is veteran
actress turned Philippine Red Cross advocate, Rosa Rosal (middle).
Presenting the award were Rosa's good friends Lilia Dizon (right) and Delia
Razon (left).
Senator
Loren Legarda was accorded the Excellence in Broadcasting Lifetime Achievement
Award for her contribution and legacy in the field of broadcast journalism.
Aljur
Abrenica simply shrugged off talks that he's being eyed by ABS-CBN. "Siyempre
nakaka-flatter," said Aljur, "pero masaya naman po ako sa GMA, pero ayoko din po
magsalita ng tapos."
Angel
Locsin with main squeeze Luis Manzano. The son of Star for all Seasons Vilma
Santos and Edu Manzano was the true gentleman all evening, escorting
Angel at every turn around the venue.
The Buzz's
Ruffa Gutierrez beat Toni Gonzaga, Pia Guanio, Rufa Mae Quinto and Lolit
Solis for the Best Female Showbiz-Oriented Talk Show Host. Ruffa shared the award with former The Buzz
co-host Cristy Fermin.
Sunshine
Dizon thanked the PMPC for recognizing her efforts in GMA-7's drama series, Impostora. The young actress was
accorded the Best Drama Actress award.
