Stars officially
welcomed the summer season by visiting Camarines Sur's latest pride, the Lago
Del Rey—a giant man-made lake facing the world famous CamSur Watersports
Complex (CWC). Celebrities experienced first-hand the
world-class facilities of the Lago Del Rey. But more than just the fun
activities, the guests were treated to CamSur's warm hospitality led by its amiable Governor LRay Villafuerte.

The
Aqua Fest Celebrity Challenge was staged to promote Lago Del Rey. Because of
the overwhelming success of the three-day water sports affair, Gov. LRay
Villafuerte is reportedly thinking of sponsoring the event every
summer season.
Gov. LRay Villafuerte acknowledged the importance of celebrities boosting
public interest in CamSur. "Celebrities kasi are role models and people usually
are interested sa sasabihin nila, so, malaking tulong if they're able to help us
promote ‘yong mga projects and what we have to offer para makatulong din
siyempre sa tourism namin."
Nadia
took time out to accommodate fans' request for a photo op. The former actress
treated the CamSur visit as a welcome respite following an eye surgery to
repair a damaged retina.
John
Estrada and Priscilla Meirelles came together and were inseparable throughout
their stay. Their closeness put all doubts to rest about
the status of their relationship.
Lago
Del Rey is equipped with world-class water sports facilities fit for families
and large groups. The inflatable attractions are imported from Germany.
Ryan
Yllana admitted that he is not a beach person. "But I love summer nonetheless,"
he told PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal). Ryan gamely participated in the contests as part of the Red Team, which placed second overall.
John
Estrada and Priscilla Meirelles were teammates in the Red Team. During the
welcome cocktail dinner party, the handsome couple was constantly together and
showed no sign that their relationship is in peril.
Raymond
Gutierrez begged off from joining the water games but he was game enough
to party with the other stars. He was constantly seen together with Star Magic
talent Carla Humphries, especially at the cocktail dinner party.
The
evening festivity was highlighted with stars and guests getting themselves wet,
intentionally or not. Here, young star Denise Laurel found
herself in the man-made lake together with Jordan Herrera.
Jeremy
Marquez competed together with his father, Joey Marquez, for the Sky Blue Team.
Jeremy was among those who came to CamSur way ahead of the official event
to enjoy the place and facilities without media attention.
Denise
Laurel played for the Navy Blue Team under the stewardship of Bobby Yan. Their
team accumulated a total of 50 points to finish 5th place behind
Maroon's 60 points.
Stars
had the privileged to try out the facilities now being offered by Lago Del Rey.
This new CamSur attraction offers a wide array of alternatives besides wakeboarding, which is CamSur's most popular tourist attraction.
The
Red Team led by John Estrada: Ryan Yllana, Priscilla Meirelles, Jojo
Manlongat, Jackie Aspiras, Janelle Javier, Amiel Cabanlig, Noel Azarcon, Red
Anderson, and Jordan Herrera.
The
White Team—Mark Reyes, Alexander Pastor, Ron Pecho, Maxine
Eigenmann, Drew Arellano, Claudine Trillo, Carla Humphries, Charyze Solomon and
Tim Yap—was led by Sports Unlimited host Marc Nelson.
Despite
finishing last in the team ranking, the Navy Blue Team was applauded for putting up a gallant fight. The team's roster had Denise Laurel, Sam Wilson,
Fran Ribano, Stephen Ku, Mars Miranda, JM Rodriguez, Enrico Subido, Luch
Zaranato, and Ronnie Henares.
The
Sky Blue Team was all smiles even before the score roundup was announced. Gary
Estrada served as team captain to Jeremy Marquez, Cheska Litton, Ketchup
Eusebio, Alynna Asistio, Marco Alcaraz, Jowee Ann Marquez, Lorenzo Manalang,
and Joey Marquez.

Sports
Unlimited host Marc Nelson was with co-host Diane Castillejo.
The duo arrived both to compete and to cover the special event. Marc was tapped
as team captain for the White Team.
During the awarding
ceremony, John Estrada joked that their team was cheated by Joey Marquez's team,
thus explaining their bridesmaid finish. John's Red Team fell short as it
managed to garner 140 points against Sky Blue's 150.
Joey Marquez playfully flashed
the No. 1 sign to "spite" good friend John Estrada. Though not officially listed
as his team's team captain, Joey assumed the role of key strategist to guide the Sky
Blue Team to victory.
