GMA-7 brings to primetime television the Filipino version of the hit Mexicanovela Rosalinda. Newcomer Carla Abellana and heartthrob Carla Abellana reprise the roles of Rosalinda and Fernando Jose, popularized by Thalia and Fernando Carrillo in the original version. Rosalinda will premiere on July 6 in the Kapuso network.

Carla Abellana makes her grand entrance to Philippine primetime television by playing the role of Rosalinda, the role originally played by Mexican singer-actress Thalia. Carla is the daughter of former '80s heartthrob Rey "PJ" Abellana, and the granddaughter of former LVN Pictures leading lady Delia Razon.
