When asked how she prepared for her role as Darna, Marian Rivera narrated, "Naging concerned po ako sa katawan ko. Kung dati kain lang ako nang kain kung ano ang gusto ko, ngayon, nagda-diet na ako. Nagtraining po ako ng wushu dahil makakatulong ‘yon sa akin sa stretching at sa paggamit ng harness. Kapag may time, nagdyi-gym din ako dahil kailangan ko rin ‘yon."
