The Philippine Movie Press Club held its first Star Awards for Music on October 29 at the Sky Dome, SM North EDSA in Quezon City.

Rap artist D'Coy's "Pambansang Kamao" music video topped the Music Video of the Year category. This was used as the theme song of Manny Pacquiao's weekend TV show Pinoy Records.
