Celebrating the music event were siblings Cristalle and Quark Henares, scions of NU 107 big boss Atom Henares and his ex-wife, cosmetic surgeon Vicki Belo.

Actress Iza Calzado hosted the evening's program with Prof. Ramon Bautista. Iza is no stranger to Pinoy rock music; she once appeared in a music video by cult favorite Urbandub.

Ely Buendia of Pupil and Elmo Magalona (right), son of the late rapper Francis M, performed "Higante"—one of the last songs recorded by Francis before he succumbed to leukemia last March.

Ex-Rivermaya vocalist and chief lyricist Rico Blanco continues to ride high as a solo artist. Rico's single, "Antukin," was hailed that evening as Song of the Year.

Former Eraserheads members Raimund Marasigan (wearing mask), Ely Buendia and Buddy Zabala (in checkers) came together  to present the Album of the Year trophy. They were joined onstage by NU 107 station owner Atom Henares (partly hidden).

At the height of their popularity and commercial success, the Eraserheads reaped 13 awards from NU 107. In 2003, the band was elevated to the Hall of Fame by the country's premier rock station.

Up Dharma Down vocalist and keyboard player Armi Millare, here with guitarist Carlos Tañada, triumphantly brought home the Album of the Year Award for the band's second album, Bipolar (Terno Records independent release).

Actress Denise Laurel co-presented the Hall of Fame posthumous Award to Francis Magalona. His widow Pia Arroyo-Magalona, who is also the sole executor of Francis's estate, accepted the honor in his behalf.
