One of the highlights of the 32nd Metro Manila Film Festival-Philippines (MMFF-P) is the annual Parade of Stars featuring the elaborate floats of the nine competing films. Unfortunately, this Zsa Zsa Zaturnnah Ze Moveeh float was disqualified because it was unable to reach the finish line at Aliw Theater in Manila. It had fallen to engine trouble.
Just like last year, the floats did not converge at the CCP Complex. Instead, the stars of the MMFF-P entries boarded their floats at the Quezon Memorial Circle. This allowed more fans to see the cast members along the more than 10-kilometer route. The parade, which took place last December 24, ended in front of Aliw Theater.

Judy Ann Santos alone was a big treat for movie fans lining the Parade of Stars route. But Judy Ann with Ryan Agoncillo, her real-life sweetheart and leading man in Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo, was double the treat. Top that with a float that looked like a three-layer wedding cake, at a time rumors are circulating about the sweethearts getting wed, and the fans were in for a thrill! With them is Ms. Gina Pareño (in pink), who plays Juday's mother in the movie.

The spaceship float of Super Noypi came with a high-tech laser that impressed the night crowd. If they go watch the movie, they will be even more impressed. The special effects of this movie are the best found in this MMFF crop.

The flower-decked float of Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo was decorated with red, white and peach-colored roses. Completing its romantic look was an all-white gazebo at the end of the float. Some people watching the parade commented that the float looked beautiful but it was lacking the lead stars Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo.
