On November 21, 2011, Jolina Magdangal officially became Mrs. Mark Escueta.
The very private garden wedding was held at the Splendido Taal Golf and
Country Club in Tagaytay City, Cavite.
In her wedding vows, the bride said: "Pagkatapos ng kasal na 'to, alam
ko may mga taong magtatampo dahil wala sila dito..."
Because the only thing that mattered that day was the couple's happiness.
"Pero alam ko na forever akong magiging masaya dahil sa 'yo, at bubuo
ako ng litrato ng masayang pamilya," Jolina promised Mark.

Mark told his bride, "Ikaw ang nag-ilaw sa buhay ko."
Just before their wedding march, the 35-year-old drummer of Rivermaya whispered, "Thank you, Lord," and tears of joy ran down his cheeks.

Jolens (her nickname) wore a gown she designed herself and made by Larry Espinoza.
Yup, she had wings!
And Mark wore sneakers.

The groom arrived early at the venue.
"Excited!" he said when asked about how he felt.
Minutes before the ceremony, he was "hindi mapakali."

Mark's dad—Commissioner Eduardo Escueta, a vice chairman of the National Police Commission—liked the "door with no walls" concept.
During his brief speech at the reception, he said, "It's about time we looked at doors rather than walls."
Marriage should have no obstacles.
He advised his son to follow the Police's "Serve and protect" motto, while his daughter-in-law should "obey" her husband.

Beside the door was a sign that read: "Happily Ever After Begins Here."
The two became a couple in 2009.
But Jolina said that even before she actually met Mark, she knew that he was "The One."
She related, "Nung high school ako, pag nakikita ko ang Rivermaya, tumatagos ang tingin ko sa drummer."

The bride's parents: Mr. Jun Magdangal and wife Paulita.
The father described his daughter as "hindi siya mahirap alagaan at napakakulit."
In his speech during the reception, he also said, "Sana makakuha na si Jolina ng taong makapagpapasaya sa kanya. Naku, God smiles on us."

"Madahon" was how Jolina initially described her dream wedding.
She added another adjective while reciting her vows, "Mahangin," which earned chuckles from the crowd.
The venue has 152 hectares of sprawling green hills and an infinite horizon meeting the big blue sky.
