Lucy Torres met her long-time crush, Richard Gomez, in 1993, when they shot the first episode of a series of Lux shampoo commercials. No formal courtship followed. The celebrity hunk was the type who would call for two weeks straight and then disappear for long periods of time. Lucy got used to the routine.
Then, in 1997, they did the last installment of the Lux commercial. This time around, Richard didn't do a disappearing act. He lingered and started courting her. He even flew to Lucy's hometown, Ormoc City, to meet her family.
