It's been over a year since they got married, and they've been in love for forever, yet this is the first time Regine and Ogie are holding a major concert together.

"Ang sarap mag-perform na misis mo," the Songbird remarked after her opening number—a mash-up of "Without You" and "Moves Like Jagger"—with husband Ogie.

Ogie to Regine: "Pasalamat ka nakilala mo pa ako. E, magsasara na iyan, e..."

The crowd roared with laughter.

Before Regine could react, the comedian-singer cut in, "Yung puso mo..."

She said, "Ah, okay..."

He resumed, "Kaya buti na lang, binuka mo..."

She retorted, "Ang ano?"

He replied, "Yung puso ko..."

Then he added, "Kaya naman ako pumapasok."

She answered, "Ano?"

Smiling, he said, "Sa puso mo..."

The Songwriter described his wife as "the best singer in the world...in my book."

With reason, because Regine had just done Beyonce's difficult "Love On Top."

Before proceeding to their next segment, Ogie commented on the chair provided them: "Hindi ko kayang akyatin iyan."

Once seated, he played like a kid. "Parang nasa high chair lang," he grinned.

Time for the OPM hits of the '80s.

"Ito yung mga kantang napapa-syet ka sa tuwing naririnig mo sa radyo," The Songbird said.

To those not in the know, The Songwriter is the present president of the Organisasyon ng mga Pilipinong Mang-aawit.

The singing couple raised the "kilig" meter inside the Smart Araneta Coliseum by reminiscing about December 22, 2010, the day they exchanged "I Do's." 

They rendered the song composed by Ogie for the wedding, "Tayong Dalawa."

The first guest: Dingdong Dantes!

This was how Ogie introduced his friend: "Konti lang ang lamang niya sa akin sa kaguwapuhan.

"Konti lang ang lamang sa kagandahan ng katawan.

"Konti lang ang lamang sa kantangkaran.

"Pero pag pinagsama-sama mo lahat, ang laki pala ng lamang niya!"

As a build-up for the next part, a video was shown.

Yup, Ogie was in tears.

"Hindi ko alam kung paano nakalusot ang videong 'yan," he said after watching it.

The spoof offended Mo Twister, who recently got embroiled in a controversy because of his video diary where he was seen crying.

The maestro singing one of his well-loved hits, "Kailangan Kita."

Erik Santos joined Ogie in singing "Kung Mawawala Ka" and "Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala."

The segment was like a showdown—"pagalingan ng boses," as one TV executive put it.

To give everyone an idea of what happens inside the Alcasid household, another video was shown.

The Songbird said, "Yung mga lalaki, kahilig gumawa ng ikasasama nila...'tapos hihingi sila ng tawad..."

Here's Regine doing an Adele medley: "Someone Like You," "Turning Tables," and "Rolling in the Deep."

The concert's musical director Raul Mitra (also Regine's brother in law) rearranged the latter, making its tempo more upbeat and the pitch higher.

As expected, the singer-host-actress did a very good job.

In doing the covers, Regine invited two singers to sing her favorite hits: Kyla and Angeline Quinto.

Kyla, of GMA-7, sang "Narito Ako," a composition of Nonong Pedero that won third prize at the first Metro Manila Popular Music Festival in 1978. It was originally sung by Maricris Bermont.

Regine's piece was "Ikaw Ang Lahat Sa Akin," an original of Martin Nievera.

ASAP 2012's Angeline Quinto and Party Pilipinas' Kyla shared the same stage for the first time—blowing the crowd away.

They were supposed to be having an LQ or lovers' quarrel.

And speaking of pick-up lines, the battle in Bubble Gang was brought to the Big Dome, with Michael V (fifth from left) and Sam Pinto (middle).

The first challenger: James Ronald Obeso of Moymoy Palaboy.

He asked: "Jingle ka ba?"

Neneng B: "Bakit?"

His pick-up line: "Kasi kinikilig ako pag nakikita kita."

 

The next challenger: Rodfil Obeso of Moymoy Palaboy.

"Nanay ka ba?" he asked.

Neneng B: "Bakit?"

His pick-up line: "Kasi magiging nanay ka ng mga anak ko."

After winning the battle, they performed "Kape Ka Ba?"
