TV5 on Overdrive: 12 new shows for 2012

In its continuing efforts to rock the TV industry, the Kapatid network went all-out with its trade show held last February 15, at the NBC Tent, The Fort, where the channel's latest offerings for the first quarter of 2012 were also revealed.
Get ready to meet some of the cast members of the 12 new shows lined up for airing this month until March.

TV5 president Atty. Rey Espinosa personally welcomed the guests and members of the press who attended the grand event.
He said in his short speech, "Ito na ang taon naipapakita ng TV5 that we can produce good quality shows for the Filipinos."

The network's remake of the classic 1992 afternoon series Valiente already premiered last Monday, February 13, via the primetime evening slot, right after Wil Time Bigtime.

TV5's decision to move the premiere of Felina: Ang Prinsesa Ng Mga Pusa from October 2011 to February 27, 2012 did not alarm the show's lead star, Arci Muñoz, at all.
In fact she is grateful for the delay, "At least hindi kami laging ngarag dahil for airing kami the same day!"

(L-R) Eula Caballero, Gelli de Belen, and Alwyn Uytingco raised the banner for new drama series Nandito Ako.
It also stars "balikbayan" actresses G Tongi and Jasmine Curtis-Smith, plus, the international singer David Archuleta, who debuts as an actor in this mini-series.

Danita Paner (left) and Alice Dixson (right) star in the heavy drama Isang Dakot Na Luha.
Alice describes the show as "kakaiba" compared to her recently-concluded series Glamorosa, which dealt with women struggling for supremacy in the extravagant business of cosmetic surgery.
"Ito naman simple siya, totoong buhay," says the actress.

TV5 is happy to jump the noon time bandwagon this March with a new original game show called Game 'n Go.
It will be hosted by Edu Manzano (not in photo), together with (L-R) Shalani Soledad, Arnel Ignacio, Gelli de Belen, Wendy Valdez, and Tuesday Vargas.

Cherie also leads a team of News 5's reporters in the documentary program Insider, which takes an in-depth look at the lives of Filipinos and the country's most interesting institutions.
It airs Thursday nights at 10:15.

April "Congrats" Gustillo finds herself a new job as a morning show host in Good Morning Club.
She joins Chiqui Roa-Puno (center), Pat Fernandez (right), Tintin Bersola-Babao, Lucky Mercado, Makata Tawanan, and Shalala during weekdays from 5:00 to 7:30 a.m.
The show is also simulcast on TV5's news channel Aksyon TV.
