Jao has a condominium unit inTomas Morato, but he still prefers to stay in rustic Antipolo with his editor-mom Tess, banker-dad Tito, and student-brother Diego. "Ewan ko iba, e. Iba pag probinsiya.Talagang parang may peace of mind ka. We're nature lovers so we really like the place."

Jao paints! He has participated in two exhibits and has completed 20 pieces since he started
painting in his teens.

He gets inspiration from everyday situations. "It's the people around, mga society, like a
labandera, mga common people.The colors just come into place.The figures I learned in school kasi
may painting class din kami."
