Moviegoers will be enchanted by the movie I.T.A.L.Y. (I Trust and Love You) especially since it was shot in romantic places such as Genoa, Milan, Savona, Napoli, Florence, Pisa, Rome, (Italy); Marseilles (France); Barcelona, Palma de Mallorca, (Spain); and Tunisia, Africa. Jolina Magdangal plays the role of Des Pinlac, a hopeless romantic who works as a chambermaid at the ship. The wannabe bride is looking for her perfect groom and all the signs indicate that Paolo Guzman (played by Dennis Trillo) is The One.

Dennis Trillo is paired with an Italian actress named Andrea de Lugo (back to camera). She is signed up with Viva Records and is scheduled to come to the Philippines to promote her album here.

The lounge singer of the Costa Magica named Stella Sembrano is portrayed by Rufa Mae Quinto. She is also looking for love but it has contantly eluded her.

One of the problems encountered by the cast members was the extreme weather conditions. Direk Mark Reyes recalls that temperatures dropped to as low as 5 degrees Celsius when they were shooting the film.

Rhian Ramos portrays Phoebe Villaroso, a rebellious brat who does what she wants. She falls in love with the plain-looking cabin crew member Nathan Reyes (Mark Herras).

Eugene Domingo is not a contract star of GMA Artist Center but she was able to join this GMA Films production. Aside from that she is part of the GMA-7 show Ako si Kim Sam Soon. In the movie, she portrays the role of Lovely Mercado, a senior housekeeper.

The June 19 press conference of I.T.A.L.Y. was done at the Jumbo Kingdom floating restaurant at the CCP complex to give the feel of a luxurious cruise ship. Among those present were (from left) Dennis Trillo, Jolina Magdangal, Direk Mark Reyes, Rhian Ramos, and Mark Herras.

Both Direk Mark Reyes and Jolina Magdangal are grateful that Dennis Trillo was chosen as the replacement of Gabby Concepcion in this movie. It will be recalled that the comebacking actor declined to do this movie at the last minute.

Rhian Ramos relied on Mark Herras to defend her from foreigners who would whistle and make catcalls at her. Because of these experiences abroad, the young actress says that she prefers Filipino men who treat women with respect.

PEP blogger Jolina Magdangal has been very vocal in saying that she left her heart in Venice, Italy. Given the chance, she would love to return there with her Papa B [Bebong Muñoz], her boyfriend of seven years.

Jolina's parents joined this trip and even they helped the prodution team by carrying stuff needed for the movie.

According to Rhian Ramos, her favorite place during the cruise was Marseilles, France because she did not have to shoot any scenes there. This gave her plenty of time to roam freely and do some shopping.

Of all the places they went to, Dennis Trillo says Barcelona, Spain is his favorite destination. "Siya yung art capital ng Spain saka maganda yung architecture dun." When the matinee idol was asked whom he would want to bring there, he said he would like to take his parents there someday. He was chided for giving such a safe answer!

Mark Herras admits that he felt homesick after being away from the Philippines for just three days. He recalls that he wanted to go home after one week of shooting I Luv NY in the Big Apple.

Direk Mark Reyes tells PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) that the plot of the movie is fictional but is based on research and interviews conducted among cabin crew members. In fact, they were modifying the script as they heard more stories from Filipino crew members onboard the Costa Magica.

Producers of the movie say that Jolina Magdangal's character will be seeing some butt exposure in the movie. Will one of them belong to Dennis Trillo? To find out, viewers have to wait until I.T.A.L.Y. opens in cinemas.
