The Subarus restaurant-bar on Sgt. Esguerra St.,
Quezon City, was the venue for the 35th birthday celebration of John "Sweet" Lapus. Outside, a machine churned out pink fluffy cotton candy while inside, various desserts and a chocolate fountain gave a sugar rush to all the guests. Both GMA-7 and ABS-CBN stars came to greet the Universal Sweet a happy birthday last July 7.
