Lovi Poe and Jolo Revilla's rumored relationship has been marred by the alleged conflict between Lovi and Rosanna Roces that was said to have begun in the show that the two women star in.

Rosanna was supposed to have made snide remarks about Lovi, and Lovi was said not to have let the incident pass. She allegedly confronted Rosanna. The issue seemed to be related to Lovi's close friendship with Jolo Revilla, who is the father of Rosanna's grandson Gabriel. Jolo fathered the child with ex-girlfriend Grace Adriano, the daughter of Rosanna.

However, when Startalk interviewed Lovi, she denied that a confrontation actually happened, saying, "Hindi na kami nagkita. Hindi na kami nagkita after the incident or issue."

In a separate interview with Startalk, Jolo apologized to Lovi for getting her involved in an issue that is basically his. "Sabi ko, 'Sorry, hindi ka dapat nadadamay dito. I am sorry. Kumbaga, e, pamilya mo nadadamay dito.' So, 'yon ang sabi ko sa kanya. Actually, hindi pa kami nag-uusap ng mom niya [Lovi] dahil nakakahiya naman."

Jolo admitted that it was difficult for him to give his side of the story now that everyone is involved, including his son Gab, who, some people think, he is not defending enough.

"Actually, nagugulat ako sa nababasa ko sa diyaryo na hindi ko daw pinagtatanggol," said Jolo. "Una sa lahat, ayoko pag-usapan dahil nga minor si Gab, pero dumating sa punto na siguro kailangan ko nang magsalita. Tama na, huwag na tayo mag-away. Pareho lang naman ang gusto natin para sa bata, e. 'Tsaka, kami ni Grace ang nag-uusap at maayos naman kami, so napagkasunduan namin na dito muna siya [Gab] sa Alabang at dito siya mag-aaral."

Jolo made light of the accusation that he was trying to take away Gab from his grandmother Rosanna. He said there was nothing to stop her from visiting Gab.

Jolo also made it clear that he and Lovi are happy with the way things are, contrary to rumors that their relationship has been affected by the controversy surrounding Lovi and Rosanna.

"Basta, maayos kami," he said about himself and Lovi. "Wala naman sigurong stable na relationship. Siyempre lahat ng ganoon, e nag-aaway din naman. Pero kumbaga, wala naman dapat ikabahala. Masaya ako dahil suportado ako ng pamilya ko at wala na akong ihihiling pa."

"Masaya kami nang ganito," Lovi seconded. "Kasi we now know what we really should focus on. Hindi naman nagbago. I mean, he is still the Jolo I used to know, it's just that alam ko na ang dapat gawin."
