Shortly after winning as Bb. Pilipinas-Universe, the Camarines Sur beauty born in Qatar was stripped of her title for inconsistencies in her birth records. Pageant organizer Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc. now holds out the hope that she may continue her reign after all.

LETTER FROM BCPI. On the air at the sa harap ni Venus binasa ni Ricky Lo nang buong-buo ang sulat, at ang unang paragraph ang nakapagbigay ng pag-asa kay Venus at sa kanyang supporters na makababalik siya sa trono.

"The Executive Committee of the Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc. announces today that after due deliberation, we have reassessed the situation pertaining to Maria Venus Raj and we have decided, for humanitarian reasons, that if she's able to obtain  a valid Philippine passport, we will reinstate her as the reigning Binibining Pilipinas-Universe."

Laman pa ng sulat ng BCPI:

"The committee emphasizes that we are sensitive to her situation but we are aware too of our responsibilities as an entity under Philippine Law....

"Our intention, with respect to Ms. Raj was always to protect her in a way we feel appropriate."

VENUS' REACTION.

"Of course," sagot ng dalaga. "Sabi ko nga po, sa unang statement nila, yung sinasabing problema ko or problema namin is inconsistency.  So, and then, yung misrepresentation.

WHAT HAPPENS TO SUCCESSOR?
