Ogie Alcasid "marries" Carlo Guevarra in "Desperadas 2"

They are back! The hip, fearless half-sisters of Regal Entertainment's Desperadas reunite in the highly anticipated sequel Desperadas 2. It will open on Christmas Day, December 25, as part of the 34th Metro Manila Film Festival.

"Pero may nadagdag na isa nilang half-sister, si Ogie Alcasid," sabi ni Direk Joel Lamangan sa presscon ng movie na official entry ng Regal Entertainment sa 2008 MMFF. "Hindi si Ogie ang unang gaganap na additional sister nina Ruffa Gutierrez, Rufa Mae Quinto, Marian Rivera and Iza Calzado, pero nagkaroon ng aberya kaya nag-usap kami nina Mother Lily [Monteverde] and line producer, si Direk Manny [Valera]. Ang gusto ko, babae pa rin ang gaganap sa role na isang prinsesa ng Kehwali Island in South Africa. At si Ogie ang naisip namin. Ang problema, kung papayag si Ogie.

"Tinawagan ni Mother Lily ang manager ni Ogie, si Leo Dominguez kung papayag si Ogie na gumanap na isang babae, hindi bading," patuloy na kuwento ni Direk Joel. "Tinawagan naman muna ni Leo si Ogie at natuwa kami nang pumayag siyang gumanap bilang si Luga Luda."

Hindi ba nagdalawang-isip si Ogie na tanggapin ang role?

"Hindi na, basta si Mother Lily," nakangiting sagot ni Ogie nang makausap ng PEP sa shooting ng movie. "Saka hindi na naman bago sa akin ang gumanap na babae, dahil sa TV, sa Bubble Gang, ako si Angelina at si Michael V si Yaya, "you're a loser, Yaya." Kahit sa ibang TV shows, gumaganap akong babae, ilang pelikula na rin ang nagawa ko, nagsuot babae na ako.

"Pero, dito ko nalamang mahirap palang maging babae,"natatawang wika ni Ogie. "Three hours akong nilalagyan ng make-up kasi kailangang paitimim ako. Iba-iba ang wig na ginamit ko rito, mga 8 kinds of wigs, ibinabagay sa damit na isusuot ko, naglalagay ako ng bra para may boobs, nakadikit sa skin ko, kapag nagmamadaling tanggalin, napupunit ang skin ko, at ang malaking problema, kapag babae na talaga ako, hindi ako makapunta ng CR dahil ang dami kong tatanggalin."

Para naman kina Ruffa, Rufa Mae, Marian at Iza, love nilang lahat si Ogie at tuwang-tuwa sila rito. Pero tilian daw sila doon sa wedding scene nina Ogie at Be Bench winner na si Carlo Guevarra na naghalikan ang dalawa after maikasal.

Kung si Ogie naman ang tatanungin, anong katangian ng four sisters niya ang gusto niyang maging siya bilang babae?

"Gusto ko ang sexiness ni Rufa Mae, ang extreme beauty ni Marian, ang height and regal ways ni Ruffa at ang beautiful heart ni Iza," sagot ni Ogie. "Hindi ko sila makakalimutan, biro mo, nagkaroon ako ng ganoon kagagandang sisters."

Kumusta naman ang apat na sisters, may nabago ba sa samahan nila since sila rin ang sisters sa unang Desperadas?

Mas maganda raw ang bonding nila ngayon at siyempre, may mga nabago rin sa kanila. Like si Ruffa, mas slim daw siya ngayon, si Marian, girl na girl na raw siya rito, si Rufa Mae, mas sexy siya at si Iza, tingnan daw kung ano ang nabago sa kanyang character.

SYNOPSIS. Desperadas 2 is one of Regal Entertainment's official entries to the Metro Manila Film Festival. The other one being Shake, Rattle & Roll 10, which also opens on Christmas Day.

The film brings a deeper and closer peek into the different issues and personal struggles of the five sisters as they cope with life's endless ups and downs.

Ruffa Gutierrez gives life to Isabella, a single mother who lavishly gets what she wants that infuriates her sisters. She is a brat who says whatever she feels and does without restraint what her heart wants. Isabella still denies her insatiable appetite for Vito's attention and consistently maintains her love-hate relationship with him (portrayed by Jay-R).

Rufa Mae Quinto is Patricia, a svelte sexologist who has written books on sexual relationships. A happy-go-lucky and free-spirited woman, Patricia feels she has no problems at all until a scandalous realization comes her way. She loves Wendell Ramos, who plays a homosexual in the film. However, she believes that she has found her Mr. Right-the smooth talking heartthrob Congressman Fely.

Iza Calzado portrays the role of Stephanie, a conservative and conventional lawyer who finds herself struggling with a lot of adjustments with her "Mommy lifestyle" after she married TJ Trinidad.

Marian Rivera is Courtney, the newly wed sister who is torn between having a baby and her flourishing fashion career. Her husband Patrick (Will Devaughn) is now displaying signs of insecurity since Courtney is too busy with her career to pay him the attention he needs.

Lastly, Ogie Alcasid plays the role of Luga Luda, the African princess who happens to be the long-lost half-sister of Isabella, Patricia, Stephanie and Courtney. Despite her physical absence in the lives of her half-sisters, Luga Luda manages to build a connection with them and develop a special bond with the four. Luga Luda is paired with Carlo Guevarra.
