The much-awaited finale of KathNiel's Pangako Sa 'Yo happened tonight, February 12.
For the past nine months, viewers witnessed how Kathryn Bernado and Daniel Padilla gave a modern take on the roles of Yna and Angelo (originally played by Kristine Hermosa and Jericho Rosales 15 years ago).
ABS-CBN also offered a modern retelling of the complicated love triangle between Amor Powers (Jodi Sta. Maria), Eduardo Buenavista (Ian Veneracion) and Claudia Buenavista (Angelica Panganiban).
Amidst all the struggles, Yna and Angelo professed their love for each other when they finally found out that they were not related by blood to each other.
As the series came to an end, the characters engaged in intense confrontation scenes involving hair-strangling and face-slapping.
Tonight's finale showed how Claudia and Mark (played by Dominic Roque) trapped Amor and Yna in a warehouse and threatened to cover them with cement. It ended badly, with two major characters getting shot.
