Wenn Deramas hopes Vice Ganda will get recognized for performance in Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy

With one actor playing the role of four characters in one movie, Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy—an official entry to the 39th Metro Manila Film Festival—promises Filipino moviegoers a unique viewing experience this December.

“Siguradong ang mapapanood dito ay di pa napapanood sa iba,” says director Wenn Deramas of the Vice Ganda-starrer.

For starters, Vice’s girl character Girlie has prosthetic breasts that would take six hours to put on to shoot a scene. Nakakabilib!” exclaims Direk Wenn.

But Vice’s contribution to the movie didn’t stop in front of the camera. Behind the camera, Vice would also give suggestions on how to make certain scenes better—and funnier. May dagdag siya lagi na nakakatawa, so collaboration talaga,” adds Direk Wenn.

In turn, Vice says he appreciates the kind words from his director.

Even co-star Maricel Soriano, who plays the mom of Vice in the movie, showed full support for Vice right from the start.
