"Kagabi, sobrang dami kong iniyak," admitted Toni Gonzaga as she talked about her latest movie with Piolo Pascual titled Starting Over Again.
"Mixed emotions kasi...itong pelikula na ito, kailangan mong humagulgol, kailangan mong mag break down talaga."
In this romantic drama movie, Toni is cast as Ginny, a student who falls in love with her professor Marco (played by Piolo Pascual). The young lady suddenly leaves behind her boyfriend without any explanation. Their paths cross again but Marco is now in a relationship with Patty (played by Iza Calzado).
Toni was a guest in the February 12 episode of ABS-CBN primetime talk show Aquino and Abunda Tonight to talk about her movie. The 30-year-old TV host-actress was teary-eyed as she explained, "Kahapon, hindi ko nga masyado naiyak lahat. Parang nagkakaroon nga ako ng separation anxiety.
"We did the movie for eight months na almost everyday magkakasama kami. Then na-realize ko kahapon sa premiere night na tapos na lahat.
"Hindi ko na makakasama si Inang [Olivia Lamasan], si PJ [Piolo] na ganun ka-regular.
"Then kahapon nung nagkaroon ng party, kinanta ang 'Starting Over Again,' dun ko iniyak lahat. Namaga ang mata ko. Iba ang effect sa akin ng kantang 'yan."
Kris then made an announcement regarding the box-office figures of Starting Over Again.
"As of 10 p.m. naka P20 million on a regular weekday. That is just so amazing.
"No exag [exaggeration], no padding, totoo partial...unofficial...pwede pa 'yang madagdagan," said Kris.
Earlier today, February 13, Star Cinema Ad Prom manager Mico del Rosario revealed through his Twitter account that Starting Over Again earned P25 million in the box-office on opening day.
"Maraming maraming salamat po sa inyong suporta at tulong! Starting Over Again made a whopping and record-breaking P25 Million on its first day! To God Be The Glory!"
Lead stars Piolo and Toni are expected to grace the U.S. premiere of Starting Over Again on February 15. It will take place at the Fox Theater, Redwood City, California.
