Between Maybes director gets asked about box-office performance of Gerald-Julia film

Direk Jason Paul Laxamana responded to a netizen who questioned the box-office performance of his latest movie, Between Maybes.

Gerald Anderson and Julia Barretto are paired for the first time in Between Maybes, a film that was shot mainly in Japan.

According to Direk Jason Paul, he is more concerned about the doing a quality film rather than focusing on the box-office gross.

Produced by Black Sheep, the film opened in cinemas nationwide last May 15.

In his Instagram account, Direk Jason Paul reminded those living alone to reach out to friends and relatives so that there would be someone to check up on them in case something bad happens to them.

He wrote:

"Favor? Pwedeng thru a friend o relative.

In the comments section of his Instagram post, a netizen asked Direk Jason Paul if Between Maybes earned P2 million in the box office during its opening day.

An Instagram user using the handle @zolmh asked the filmmaker: "Sayang maganda daw movie pero 2 million lang kinita sa 1st day @jplaxamana?"

In response, Direk Jason Paul commented: "@zolmh i dunno. I dont care. Goal ko gumawa ng maganda. May sweldo naman ako."
