JM de Guzman has finished shooting scenes in Japan for his new movie titled Imbisibol. Directed by Lawrence Fajardo, this film revolves around illegal immigrants in Japan.
In the film, JM is an unemployed Filipino TNT. He meets Allen Dizon’s character, who is a “hosto” in the country. The two are under the care of a female landlady (portrayed by Ces Quesada) who hides Filipino overstaying immigrants in the Japan.
Imbisibol is one of the six entries that will take part in the inaugural Sinag Maynila Film Festival. Spearheaded by Cannes award-winning director Brillante Mendoza, this new film fest will be held from March 18-25.
Other entries include Death by Gokkun by Joselito "Jay" Altarejos, Bambanti by Zig Dulay, Ninja Party by Jim Libiran, Balut Country by Paul Sta. Ana, at Swap by Remton Zuasola.
On his Instagram account, JM also uploaded pictures and videos of his fellow cast members as they shot scenes in the snow.
